Galway daily news Water outages in multiple areas of Galway due to burst mains

A burst water main that burst on the Tuam road overnight is causing water outages in Parkmore.

Homes and business in Parkmore and along the Tuam Road may experience water outages while the burst main is being repaired today.

The broken pipes were reported around 7:30pm yesterday, however, Irish Water advised at the time that repair works would not begin until 10am today.

Currently repairs are estimated to be complete by 6pm this evening, though it may take 2-3 for full water supply to be restored after that.

A traffic management plan is in place on the Tuam road at Two Mile Ditch while repairs are being carried out.
