A Planning application has been submitted for renovations to Loughrea Hotel & Spa to increase its bed space.
Atlantic Troy Ltd has submitted plans to the council to demolish an unoccupied dwelling on the site of Loughrea Hotel and replace it with a new wing.
The new addition to the hotel would consist of a new building adjacent to the main hotel complex with eight bedrooms along with amenity spaces.
The hotel operator also plans to provide new parking space adjacent to the hotel to cater for the expanded demand this new suite will bring.
Submissions related to this planning application can be made to the county council until March 13.
A decision on whether to allow this hotel development to proceed is due by April 3.
