GARN calls on Galwegians to attend weekend solidarity rally

The Galway Anti Racism Network have called a solidarity rally with refugees worldwide, taking place tomorrow, Saturday at 12 noon in Eyre Square.

Over 100 people gathered in Salthill on Wednesday evening to help spell out a strong message of solidarity with migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.

With growing anger over Trump’s treatment of migrant families in the US and the horrors on our own shores with Direct Provision; it’s important that Galway is seen as a city of sanctuary for the most vulnerable in society.
