Asylum seeker organising charity walk in aid of local charities

Simba Tshoga, an asylum seeker living in Galway is organising a group charity walk to celebrate UN day of the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and help raise funds for a local causes.

The charity walk is taking place on Saturday 24 March at Diamond Hill, Connemara in aid of Galway Simon Community and COPE Galway.

Simba, who has been living in Galway for the past two years, wanted to give back to his new local community by raising funds in support of the current homeless crisis.

The walk is being organised with the help of several groups including the Galway Integration Consortium , BRIDGE, AMACH, Galway City Partnership, as well as other asylum seekers living in Galway.

All proceeds raised will go directly to Galway Simon Community and COPE Galway.
