Grants totalling €132,455 have been approved by the Galway City Local Community Development Committee.
A wide range of local groups and organisations in Galway City will benefit from the grants which come under the Community Enhancement Programme for 2019.
In total, funding has been approved for 29 projects that will enhance facilities in disadvantaged areas.
The funding approved by the Galway City LCDC ranges to support a number of small scale capital projects and larger capital projects, all aimed at addressing disadvantage and providing much needed funding to communities across Galway City.
All of the projects receiving funding relate to one or more of the key priority areas as identified in the Galway City Local Economic & Community Plan 2015 – 2021 and the delivery of these projects in 2019 will support the delivery of many of the collaborative actions which will be of great benefit to local communities in Galway City.
