Met Éireann has issued a weather advisory today, alerting the public that a period of wintry weather is headed our way.
The forecast for the rest of the week is much colder, with sharp to severe frosts and icy stretches.
The weather experts say that some wintry showers are possible too.
Temperatures on Thursday morning will be around 3 degrees – with some showers forecast. Then on Thursday evening, temperatures will drop as low as 2 degrees.
Met Éireann‘s weather advisory comes into effect at 4.00pm tomorrow, Wednesday and lasts until midnight on Friday.
It extends across all 26 counties in the state.
