Galway will see heavy winds all day tomorrow with Met Eireann issuing a Status Yellow weather warning.
The wind warning has been issued for counties Galway, Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, and Sligo
Saturday will see sustained strong and gusty westerly winds veering northwesterly, coupled with large coastal waves.
Winds will be strongest on Saturday night headed into the early hours of Sunday. The weather warning will be in place from 3am Saturday until 2pm on Sunday.
This may cause some wave overtopping and sea spray, as well as creating difficult travelling conditions, especially in coastal areas.
Met Eireann has also issued a weather warning for Clare, Kerry, and Limerick along the southwest and west coasts.
These counties will also be hit by heavy winds between 3pm Saturday and 3pm on Sunday.
