Met Éireann has issued another weather warning for Galway today as the West prepares for a wet and windy Halloween night.
A status yellow wind warning is now in place in Galway and Mayo, as northwest winds will reach mean speeds of up 65km/hr with gusts of up to 90-110km/hr.
Higher gusts are forecast along the coast and exposed hills.
Met Éireann’s weather warning came into force at 12pm today and will remain in place until 10pm this evening.
Heavy showers in west Connacht will also extend to most areas through the day, merging into longer spells of rain at times.
Highest temperatures will be 9 to 11 degrees this afternoon.
