galway daily weather weather warning for heavy rain in effect

Sunny spells this evening will gradually give way to cloudy skies and more heavy rain in Galway this weekend.

The weekend’s weather will get off to a strong start on Friday, as this evening is expected to be dry and mostly sunny, with cloudy patches as well.

The evening will be fairly warm and humid, with temperatures reaching highs of 17 to 20 degrees today, and staying at 13 to 16 degrees overnight.

Saturday is also set to be a mostly dry day, with a mix of cloudy skies and sunny spells, which will be bright and clear at times in the afternoon.

Tomorrow is also set to be a warm day, with temperatures reaching highs of 17 to 20 degrees, and just a light variable breeze throughout the day.

However, Met Eireann is predicting that weather conditions will take a turn for the worse on Sunday, with heavy rain expected.

Rain will start off heavy and early on Sunday, remaining persistent and widespread until the afternoon, when things will ease off.

Lighter and more scattered rain is still expected to persist throughout the day, however.

Sunday will also be a humid and gusty day, with temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees, and a moderate wind shifting from westerly in the morning, to easterly by evening.

Things are looking up for next week though, as Met Eireann is saying that we can expect a shift to drier and brighter weather again.
