Galwegians should take the opportunity to grab some sun this weekend with good weather forecast for the next day or two.
The weather will stay dry and clear for much of Friday and Saturday, but on Sunday conditions are expected to break for the worst with rain throughout much of the day.
The sun will be clearest today, with temperatures peaking at 17 degrees in the mid afternoon and the possibility of light showers along the coast.
There will be a light westerly wind throughout Friday, and some slight overcast conditions at times.
Saturday will be more overcast through much of the day, but the sun will still be peaking out from behind the clouds in the afternoon, particularly inland.
Despite the clouds it’s expected to stay warm and dry according to Met Eireann, with maximum temperatures of 19 degrees expected.
People should enjoy the sun while it can because on Sunday the summer spell is forecast to come to and end.
Rain will sweep in the from the mid morning and remain persistent throughout the day, strongest in coastal areas.
Temperatures on Sunday will average at 15 degrees Celsius.
