Met Éireann has issued a status yellow weather warning for Galway ahead of freezing conditions which are forecast for the next few days.
Icy stretches are likely on Sunday night and Monday morning, leading to hazardous travelling conditions, especially on untreated roads and footpaths.
Some patches of freezing fog are also possible.
All counties in the Republic were issued the warning, which comes into force on Sunday evening at 6pm.
The warning will remain in place overnight before being lifted at 12pm on Monday.
