From ice back to the familiar thundering rain, a weather warning has been issued for thundering rain in Galway this evening.
The warning for Galway, Mayo, Kerry, Cork, and Waterford forecasts heavy rain on Sunday night and Monday morning.
Rain will be heaviest in coastal and mountainous areas, and some spot flooding is possible.
The warning will be in effect from 7pm on Sunday evening, until 12:30pm on Monday afternoon.
This a wet end to the week after days of sub-zero temperatures, and multiple orange warnings for icy conditions.
More rain is expected in Galway in the week leading up to Christmas, but thankfully temperatures have improved compared with the week up to now.
