The rain will let up on Thursday after a few showers in the early morning, but don’t expect sunny skies as apart from a few brief spells, Met Eireann is forecasting overcast conditions throughout the day, with temperatures peaking at 18 degrees in the early evening.
The weather will take a turn for the worse on Friday, with persistent rain settling in from the early afternoon following a mostly dry morning.
Highest temperatures of 17 to 18 degrees in the early evening during the heaviest period of rain, with a light southerly breeze getting stiffer and veering southwesterly as the day goes on.
While things won’t be as bad on Saturday, with a few spells of sunshine even expected through the clouds, widespread showers are forecast throughout the day.
