Weather warnings will be issued tomorrow by Met Éireann ahead of wet and stormy conditions expected in the coming week.
Met Éireann issued a weather advisory today for Galway and the rest of the country which lasts from Monday until Thursday.
Conditions are set to become unsettled by the end of the weekend, and a spell of very wet and sometimes windy weather is forecast on Monday and Tuesday.
There will be persistent and locally heavy rainfall, and with high soil saturation levels, there is a risk of river and surface flooding.
There is also a higher risk of coastal flooding due to unusually high tides combined with strong winds.
