There are signs that the current spell of dry weather will become more unsettled during the first weekend in September, Met Éireann has said.

They say that it will become cloudier over the weekend, with some rain or showers likely – but temperatures will remain average for this time of the year.

It will continue dry throughout much of the week though, with temperatures back to around average for the time of year, in the high teens or low 20s.

Today, Monday, will be another dry day but there will be some clouds, with more sunny spells as the day progresses.

The highest temperatures tomorrow will be between 18 and 21 degrees, in light to moderate, northeast winds.

Tuesday will be much the same, with sunshine and some clouds with temperatures reaching the low twenties in the afternoon.

It will remain dry for the most part throughout the rest of the week, with the more unsettled conditions not expected until this weekend.
