It will be short-lived, but the three days of beautiful sunny weather heading our way will be welcomed with open arms and ice cream across the county.
The warmest day will be tomorrow, Thursday, when temperatures across Galway soar to 17 degrees, with fantastic sunshine and blue skies forecast in the afternoon and evening after what may be a cloudier morning in parts.
The glorious sunshine will continue into Friday, which will be slightly cooler than Thursday. But few are likely to complain about the unbroken sunshine throughout the day, and temperatures will be again in the mid teens by the afternoon.
On Easter Saturday, temperatures are likely to dip once again, but by then people will be enjoying the third day of sunshine across the city and much of the county.
Easter Sunday might start bright but the weather will return to normal, with temperatures dipping further and rain and showers in the afternoon and evening, running into Easter Monday and beyond.
