Met Éireann has issued a warning to motorists ahead of wintry conditions expected across the country tonight.
A mix of rain, sleet and snow will clear south over Ireland this evening and early tonight (Monday), with a cold airmass following from the north.
Ice is expected to form in some areas which may lead to treacherous travelling conditions overnight and into Tuesday morning.
Met Éireann’s advisory comes into effect at 8pm this evening and will be in place until 9am on Tuesday.
All counties in the Republic are included in the advisory.
