Galway Daily weather Weather warning for heavy rain in Galway tonight

Met Eireann has issued a status yellow weather warning for Galway, forecasting heavy rain on Tuesday and overnight into Wednesday.

The alert has been issued for parts of the west, south, and east coasts in counties Wexford, Wicklow, Galway, Mayo, Cork, Kerry and Waterford.

“Heavy and at times intense rainfall with totals of 25 to 40mm expected,” Met Eireann said.

This rainfall may also result in localised flooding.

However it is predicted that rain will clear in the west by early Wednesday morning.

The weather warning will be in force from 9pm on Tuesday until midday on Wednesday.

A marine weather warning for small craft has also been issued for tje Atlantic Coast on Tuesday.

South to southwest winds on Tuesday morning and afternoon will reach force 6 or higher on Irish Coasts from Mizen Head to Slyne Head to Malin Head.
