A status yellow weather warning has been issued for Galway ahead of heavy rain which is set to batter parts of the West and south-west on Monday and Tuesday morning.
Met Éireann said that heavy rain could lead to localised flooding in Galway, Clare and Kerry.
The yellow warning will begin at midday on Monday and it will stay in place until midday on Tuesday.
Highest temperatures will range 17 to 19 degrees on Monday in light to moderate southwest breezes.
