A status yellow fog warning has been issued for Galway and all of Ireland tonight by Met Eireann.
The weather warning for dense fog in many areas will remain in place overnight until 10am on Saturday morning Met Eireann has said.
Motorists one the roads tonight are advised to drive with care due to potential poor visibility.
Temperatures in Galway will average 4°c – 5°c tonight, with some cloud cover and light southerly winds.
