Our run of good weather this week is set to continue over the weekend, with warm temperatures and clear skies forecast.
Met Eireann is forecasting a beautiful weekend to enjoy before the early summer we’ve been enjoying comes to an end next week.
Today, some light cloud cover will give way to a prolonged stretch of sunshine in the afternoon and early evening.
Highest temperatures of 17 degrees today, with a light westerly breeze freshening things.
Headed into tonight, things will stay warm and calm, with lows of 6 degrees overnight inland, but a more balmy 12 degrees in coastal area.
Saturday will be the brightest part of the weekend, with sunny skies burning off any lingering mist in the early morning.
The sun will shine throughout most of the day, with some scattered light cloud cover in places.
Temperatures will reach highs of 15 to 17 degrees tomorrow, with a light westerly breeze turning moderate in the day, before dying down again.
Sunday will continue the good run of sunshine, with a little more cloud throughout parts of the day, but still very balmy for this time of year.
A light variable breeze will be present during the day, with the mercury reaching highs of 13 to 16 degrees.
Come next week, Met Eireann is currently forecasting a shift in the weather, with cooler conditions and less sunshine, though Monday is also expected to have some late sun in the evening.
The rain is also expected to make an unwelcome return mid-next week according to the forecaster.
