Met Éireann’s status yellow warning for wind came into effect this morning.
The forecasters say there will be strong to gale force south to southwest winds today and into Friday morning, with gusts of 90 to 110km/h expected.
The warning began at 6am this morning, and will be in place until 10am on Friday.
Galway, Donegal and Mayo are affected by the wind warning.
