More unsettled conditions are likely to dominate over the coming days in Galway, with clouds and spells of rain expected in the West throughout the weekend.
Tonight (Thursday) will be windy with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees are forecast by Met Éireann.
Friday is set to be a wet, cloudy day as the westerly winds gradually ease. Highest temperatures will be between 11 and 14 degrees, in moderating westerly winds.
Friday night will remain wet – and hill, mist and coastal fog are likely. The rain will be heavy at times with possible spot flooding.
Saturday is expected to be drier than previous days, but some showers and patchy light rain are likely across the West.
Sunday could see some bright spells to begin, but light rain is forecast throughout much of the day across the county.
Temperatures in Galway over the weekend will remain around 8 to 11 degrees.
