Met Éireann has forecast a mainly cloudy week in Galway, but high pressure slowly building over Ireland will bring higher temperatures and mainly dry conditions by midweek.
Tomorrow, Monday, will be another cloudy but mostly dry day, with only occasional bright spells and afternoon temperatures between 15 and 18 degrees.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be cloudy again, with high temperatures in the mid to late teens, and some patchy rain is forecast for Connacht on Wednesday.
As the high pressure continues to build, temperatures will rise slightly towards the end of the week, but it will remain mostly cloudy until the weekend.
Met Éireann says that the high pressure will become established over the country for the weekend, bringing mostly dry weather with sunshine and clouds forecast.
Temperatures should be north of 20 degrees by the weekend.
