galway weather forecast

Irish weather is unreliable. Last night it was lashing, this evening was sunny and warm.

And this week looks like a mixed bag too, with spells of sunshine, cloud and of course, a few showers here and there. It will stay warm though with highest afternoon temperatures of above 20 degrees until at least Sunday.

Tomorrow, Monday, will be dry and warm. The day will start bright, gradually becoming slightly cloudier as the afternoon progresses. Highest temperatures of 23 degrees are expected in the middle of the afternoon.

Tuesday looks more uncertain. The morning will be dry, with some bright spells in parts, however there is a risk of showers in the afternoon from 2pm. The day will end as it started – dry and bright. It will be warm, with temperatures again of up to 23 degrees Celsius forecast.

However… there is good weather in store for Wednesday, which looks like it will be the best day this week! Sunshine is forecast throughout the day with just the risk of an odd shower around 6pm in parts. Temperatures will be around 21 to 22 degrees in the afternoon with blue skies forecast across Galway.

Thursday won’t see the same sunshine as Wednesday, but it will remain dry. The highest temperatures on Thursday will be slightly cooler, but still pleasant at around 19 degrees.

Friday will be another decent day with sunny spells early on, turning cloudier throughout the afternoon. There could be showers in the evening. Temperatures again will reach about 20 degrees.

As for the weekend, early indications are that Saturday will be bright early on, and it should remain dry throughout the day with bright spells and pleasant temperatures. Sunday looks similar, with some sunshine and also a risk of showers throughout the afternoon.

All in all, there is good news and bad news in this week’s forecast, and hopefully we see much more sun than is forecast!
