The week of weather alerts just keeps coming as yet another status yellow weather warning has been issued for snow and ice in Galway.
The weather is expected to be icy tonight, with accumulations of snow in some areas before morning, mainly on higher ground.
This follows on from a different yellow warning for snow and ice which was in place across Ireland on Monday and Tuesday in the aftermath of Storm Ciara.
The weather warning has been issued today for all of Connacht, as well as Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Dublin, Louth and Wicklow.
It will come into force at 8pm tonight, and remain in place overnight until 10am on Thursday morning.
Two marine alerts have also been issued by Met Eireann, with a status yellow gale alert forecasting variable cyclonic winds reaching up to force 9 tonight on all Irish coastal waters.
A small craft warning also states that before this westerly veering southwesterly will reach force 6 at times today on all Irish coastal waters.
