Another weather warning has been issued by Met Eireann today for thunderstorms and heavy rain throughout the day.
The forecaster is predicting Scattered thunderstorms with heavy downpours and a risk of hail across Galway and most of Ireland throughout Sunday.
Heavy rain will also bring with it a risk of spot flooding Met Eireann has warned.
The weather warning covers all of Connacht and Munster, along with counties Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wexford, Cavan, and Monaghan.
The status yellow alert will be in effect until 9pm on Sunday night.
Despite this temperatures in Galway will reach highs of 14 to 15 degrees today, dropping down to around 5 or 6 degrees overnight, with a light to moderate northerly breeze.
Some sunny spells are also expected as showers become more scattered in the late afternoon and evening.
