Two Connacht players have been named for the Irish side that will face off against Fiji in the test series game on Saturday.

Ireland will play Fiji in the Aviva Stadium this Saturday, with kick-off at 1pm, in the first of two test games.

Mack Hansen will be starting for Ireland, serving in the left wing, while Cian Prendergast is in with a chance to get his first national cap.

Prendergast, who plays for Connacht and Galwegians, is among the replacements selected by Andy Farrell.

There are three uncapped players in the Match Day Squad – Loughman, who starts at loosehead prop, Prendergast who is covering lock and Jack Crowley, who is cover out-half.

All three featured for Ireland ‘A’ against the All Blacks XV last weekend along with Max Deegan, who is named on the bench and is line for his second cap having made his debut against Wales in February 2020.

Deegan, Prendergast and Crowley were part of the successful Emerging Ireland tour to Bloemfontein.
