Rugby fans looking forward to a trip to Aviva Stadium to support Connacht later this month will be happy to hear about the transport options added for the match.
Connacht Rugby have said that buses will be in place for fans to get to and from Aviva, along with an extra train for the journey home.
Connacht and Ulster will meet at the Aviva Stadium in round 5 of the new United Rugby Championship on October 23, the day after most COVID-19 restrictions are expected to be removed.
To help get fans to this much anticipated match, the province have teamed up with CityLink to offer fans dedicated, discounted buses for them.
A number of buses will depart from The Sportsground on the morning of the game, and will bring fans directly to the Aviva Stadium.
These return fares will be priced at a discounted rate of just €20 for those with tickets to the game.
Not only that, but Connacht Rugby have also arranged with Irish Rail for their to be an additional late train from Heuston Station on the day of the match to bring fans home.
The train will depart at 20:20, plenty of time so people won’t have to rush from the stadium, and will serve Athlone, Ballinasloe, Woodlawn, Athenry and Oranmore, before arriving back in Galway at 22:38.
