Galway were crowned 2018 Connacht Senior Ladies Football Champions last Sunday (24th June) after they held their nerve to get two late points.
Tracey Leonard and Mairead Seoighe fired over the winning scores in a pulsating battle that saw the Tribeswomen run out 0-17 to 1-12 winners over Mayo in MacHale Park, Castlebar.

Winning captain Leonard was player of the match finishing with six points and the maroon and white will now prepare for the new round-robin series which begins with a game against Waterford on July 21st.
After lifting the CBE Cup, Leonard talked to Galway Daily acknowledging how proud she was of her teammates.
Galway meet Waterford and the Leinster Runners-Up in the All-Ireland Championship group stages. The first game against Waterford takes place on Saturday, 21st July.
