Just four weeks since beating Mayo in the Connacht Ladies Football Final, Galway begin the All-Ireland round-robin series when they take on Waterford in Birr on Saturday, 21st July at 4.45pm.
The two counties and Westmeath contest a three-team group with two places in the quarter-finals up for grabs. The Tribeswomen are strong favourites to advance and victory over the Deise will secure a place in the final eight against Cavan, Dublin or Mayo.
Galway senior manager Stephen Glennon is looking forward to what he hopes is a series of regular games and he spoke to Galway Daily ahead of Saturday’s big match.
