Galway senior camogie manager Cathal Murray admitted his team were very disappointed after Kilkenny pulled clear in Sunday’s (22nd July) final group game in Nowlan Park to book their place in the All-Ireland semi-finals.

A Denise Gaule penalty on 40 minutes put Ann Downey’s team to the front as Galway had no answer following a firt half full of promise and now must go through the quarter-final route to keep their O’Duffy Cup ambitions alive.

The Tribeswomen will face Dublin to try and join Kilkenny and Cork in the final four and their full focus will be on that task.  Murray spoke to Galway Daily afterwards.

Galway meet Dublin in the 2018 Liberty Insurance All-Ireland senior camogie quarter-finals on Saturday, 4th August.  Throw-in at Pairc Ui Chaoimh is 7.15pm.
