Galway senior ladies corner forward Leanne Coen was the player of the match as the Tribeswomen beat Mayo on Sunday, 12th August to book their place in the All-Ireland semi-finals for the first time since 2014.
Coen struck 1-4 as Galway ran out 5-11 to 0-12 winners in Dr. Hyde Park, Roscommon to set up a meeting with Dublin on Saturday, 25th August.
Caitriona Cormican, Roisin Leonard (2) and Ailbhe Davoren were also among the goals but Coen took the plaudits for her overall display. She chatted to Galway Daily afterwards.
Galway face Dublin in the 2018 TG4 All-Ireland Senior Ladies Football Semi-Finals on Saturday, 25th August. It will be played as part a double header with Cork and Donegal commencing at 2.45pm. No venue is scheduled yet for the game between Galway and Dublin which throws in at 4.30pm.
