Abbeyknockmoy Handball Club held their official homecoming last Saturday (1st September) after their triumphs at the World Championships in Minneapolis in August.
Their medal haul included an incredible 10 gold, three silver and one bronze. This represents a huge sporting achievement for a small town in the west of Ireland and follows on from five National titles and a Division One Feile earlier in 2018.
Also present on night to celebrate with team was Niamh Heffernan from Claregalway who represented Team Ireland at the World Championships and was hugely successful at the event.
