Glenamaddy/Williamstown Ladies GAA Club

Hard luck to our Intermediate players and Management who lost out to Clonbur 2-9 to 3-7 last weekend.

U12s play in the championship cup semi-final against St. Brendan’s in Ballygar pitch on Thursday evening at 7pm support appreciated.

The U10 County Blitz will be held on Saturday next 8th September in Clonberne 10am to 2pm with registration at 9.30am. Best of luck to management and all players taking part.

Best of luck to our Minors and management team in Shield Final next Sunday Sept 9th @ 5.30pm in Clonberne. Support appreciated.

Cash for clobber ongoing please leave bags of unwanted clothes and shoes into Glenamaddy Community Center.

 

Kilkerrin United 

Kilkerrin United began their 2018/19 RDFL Premier Division campaign on Friday night last as Strokestown United visited Kilkerrin.

The hosts got off to a great start as Brian McDermott fired the home side ahead early on and Kevin Traynor doubled the lead minutes later before a long range Evan Fahy effort gave Kilkerrin a 3-0 half-time lead.

Strokestown came more into the game in the second half but Evan Fahy’s second goal of the game wrapped up he points for Kilkerrin as it finished 4-0. Next up is a trip to Moore United on Friday at 8:30pm.

U14 girls had a hard-earned 7-4 win over CP Ajax with goals from Niamh Feeney (3), Melissa O’Kane (2), Mya Grogan & Ciara Boyle. The U14s also defeated Dunmore Town with Rebecca Glynn, Mairead McGann, Mya Grogan, Áine Shaughnessy, Niamh Feeney & Gemisha Geraghty all on target.

U16 girls defeated Shiven Rovers 3-0 with Caitlin Boyle, Ciara Martin, Mya Grogan all on target.

U12 boys lost out 3-2 to Glen Celtic in a super game despite a great effort and goals from Enda Keane & Dara Fahy. Congratulations to Glen Celtic on winning the RDYSL Division One Title.

U16 boys have a 4-2 win over Ballymoe FC.

U18 boys lost out 3-1 to Moylough ’79 in the RDYSL Challenge Cup Semi-Final. Evan Fahy scored the Kilkerrin goal.

Last week’s RDFL Lotto numbers were 2, 19, 20 & 22. There was no jackpot winner. Two match 3 winners: Shiven Rovers and Shannon Costello c/o Cloonfad United. Next week’s jackpot is €14,550.
