Glenamaddy/Williamstown Ladies GAA

Congratulations to our Intermediate Panel and Management who had a good win away to Milltown at the weekend.  Final score 2-9 to 2-2. We now play Menlough/Skehana in Shield Final.

Well done to our young players who took part in U8/U10 Blitz in Killererin last weekend.

Many thanks to Management and all who helped out on the day

The Club wishes to congratulate Heather Joyce, former player, on the occasion of her marriage to Jonathan Mc Mahon.  We wish them a long life of health and happiness.

Welcome to our French visitors from Guiscriff who are celebrating 25 years town twinning with Glenamaddy. Congratulations to Glenamaddy Boyounagh Heritage Project on their successful book launch at the weekend.  Sincere sympathies to Mary Gannon on the death of her Aunt Carmel Martin.

May she Rest In Peace.

Glen Celtic AFC

Senior team play Ballymoe B team at 11am on Sunday next in Ballymoe. All support welcome.

Well done to all U7 Champions and Europa team players and coaches who had a great day at the RDYSL Blitz in Shiven last weekend.  The season certainly ended on a high for these young boys as there was lots of skill, a good few goals and medals all on display.

Don’t forget to put the 12th October in your diary for Glen Celtic fund-raising quiz night in Jim Petes in Glenamaddy.

Kilkerrin United

It was with great sorrow that we learned last Wednesday morning of the sad passing of Carmel Martin, Derreen. Carmel was a great supporter of Kilkerrin United for many years and will be sadly missed by so many within the club and parish.

Sincerest sympathies are extended to Bernie, Jennifer, Denice and the extended Martin & Rushe families. As a mark of respect all club activities and matches scheduled for last week were postponed.

God bless Carmel, rest in peace.
