Best of luck to Niamh Collins and the Galway U16 girls in the All Ireland Final against Kerry this Wednesday evening July 25th in St Michaels pitch Toomevara Tipperary @ 7.30p.m

Congratulations to Noelle Connolly and Galway Seniors on their victory over Waterford last weekend. Cash for clobber ongoing please leave all bags of unwanted clothes into Glenamaddy Community Center.

 

GLEN CELTIC AFC

Thanks to all who helped to get us setup for Saturday’s U8 Girls Blitz in Glenamaddy.  Thanks to Ballaghadereen and Dunmore for sending teams and to all Glen Celtic girls for attending.

Our Masters team lost 3-1 to Ballinasloe in the Cup. Glen Celtic goal scorer Padraig Mannion.

Well done to the 2 U7 boys teams who played in RDYSL Blitz in Moylough last Saturday.

Don’t forget our Club AGM on Monday 30th at 9pm in Glenamaddy Vocational School.  All parents, adult players and anyone with an interest in Glen Celtic AFC is encouraged to attend.

 

KILKERRIN/CLONBERNE LADIES FOOTBALL 

Best of luck to Hannah, Eva, Samantha & the Galway team & Management who take on Kerry in u16 All Ireland final this Wed in Toomevara at 7.30.

Congrats to Galway senior ladies and especially our club girls Nicola, Louise, Siobhan, Olivia, Lisa G, Lisa M and Lynsey who are through to the All-Ireland senior quarter-finals. The Tribeswomen defeated Waterford by 3-12 to 0-5 at St Brendan’s Park in Birr.

 

KILKERRIN UNITED 

U10 girls played out a thrilling game against Glen Celtic on Friday evening with Emily Stephens, Éadaoin Hynes & Amy Boyle all hitting the net.

U9 boys played Dysart FC in two very competitive games in Kilkerrin last Thursday. Well done to all the players and coaches from both clubs.

U11 boys had a great game against Dysart FC on Friday evening. Eoin Thornton & Eoin Morrissey were both on target for Kilkerrin.

Well done to Kilkerrin United U12 boys on winning the RDYSL Sevens Trophy in Shiven on Tuesday last. Kilkerrin pipped Dysart FC on penalties after both sides played out a scoreless draw in the final.

U14 boys had a good 3-1 win over Glen Celtic thanks to goals from Thomas Carton (2) & Oisín Keane but lost out 4-1 to Shiven Rovers despite a Darragh Lyons goal.

U16 boys took part in the RDYSL 7-aside blitz on Thursday evening last. Kilkerrin began with a 1-1 draw against St. John’s Blue with Cathal Fallon on target. Despite Ciarán Lee’s goal, Kilkerrin lost out 3-1 to CP Ajax.

Cian Carton, Cathal Fallon & Iarlath Cassidy all scored in a 3-1 win over Roscommon Town. Cian Carton scored the winner in a tight 1-0 win over Dysart FC. St. John’s Blue defeated Kilkerrin on penalties in the shield semi-final despite a great display from goalkeeper Ciarán Kelly.

The game had finished 1-1, Cian Carton with the goal. Well done to all involved.

U18 boys defeated St. Cuan’s United 2-1 thanks to goals Brian McDermott & Oisín Hynes in the RDYSL Cup Quarter Final.

Last week’s lotto numbers were 1, 12, 20 & 22. There was no jackpot winner. One match three winner: Michael Rushe c/o Cloonfad United. The next draw is on July 31st for a jackpot of €14,100.

Kilkerrin United’s Social will take place on Friday 27th July in the Ard Rí Hotel, Tuam. Tickets €25 are available from club members.
