Glenamaddy/Williamstown Ladies GAA

Congratulations to our minor team who won the Minor B Shield Final on Sunday last defeating St Brendan’s 4-8 to 2-13. This was a hard-fought battle to the bitter end and this was reflected in the narrow winning margin.

We played with a strong breeze in the first half and while we went in at half time with a substantial lead we knew that St Brendans would come back strong in the second half. Both sides fought tooth and nail for every score and all players on the pitch were tested.

Captain Sinead Comer accepted the winning trophy and she thanked all involved and our main sponsor Pj & Mary Fahy & ECC for their continued support. This was a great team effort and we thank all the panel and management team for their commitment.

Thanks to Martina Heneghan and SuperValu for providing the food and to all who helped out with the catering.
