County under 13 B Hurling Final – Saturday, 11th August 2018
Padraig Pearses 2-11 Ballinderreen 1-2
An 11am early morning showdown and a slow start didn’t upset Padraig Pearses’ rhythm when they were crowned County under 13 B Hurling Champions in St. Brendan’s Park, Loughrea.
After Stephen Mannion struck an early Ballinderreen goal, Jason Rabbitte hit back with a green flag on 14 minutes as the Gurteen/Ballymacward side went 1-5 to 1-2 ahead at half-time.
And despite Ballinderreen threatening another major after the restart, Ronan Hynes finished to the net and Padraig Pearses built up a margin at the finish to take the trophy.
Conor Kelly captained the winning team and goalkeeper Harry Mitchell was Man of the Match.
