McGettigan’s Intermediate Championship Results
Kilconieron 1-17 Kiltormer 1-6
Shane Caulfield hit a first half goal as Kilconieron took Kiltormer apart early to book their place in the intermediate championship quarter-finals. Despite being down to 14 men and this being their second consecutive loss, Kiltormer’s place was secured the same day.
Kinvara 3-12 Kilbeacanty 0-16
Kinvara were behind for much of this game in Loughrea but three goals for Shane Kavanagh, Conor Whelan and Aidan Moylan made sure they remained unbeaten. Kilbeacanty were so close to a priceless win and must beat Annaghdown to avoid the relegation final.
Killimor 2-16 Castlegar 0-14
Castlegar rallied back in the second half to get within four of their opponents but a late Conor Donnelly goal secured Killimor the result. Joey Starr’s first half goal allowed them a 1-10 to 0-4 interval lead and their victory booked themselves and Kiltormer a knockout berth.
