The 2018 season may be finished but already preparations are in place to give Galway’s hurlers the best of chances to regain the All-Ireland crown next year.
A Golf Classic for the Galway’ hurlers training fund will take place on the weekend of September 27th-29th (Thursday-Saturday) in Portumna Golf Club.
In what promises to be a keenly contested and supported event, there will be over €8,000 in prizes.
The top awards are bound to get Galway golfers keenly interested. First prize gets a golf and accommodation package at Adare Manor (worth €2,000). And for second, an equally enjoyable treat with golf and accommodation provided in the K Club (worth €1,600).
There are lots of other prizes and slots are available every day. To enter a team is just €200, to sponsor a tee box is just €50, and there will be burgers available on the 10th hole.
And there will also be a special GAA club prize for the top GAA club team in the competition.
