The semi-finals of our 2018 Galway Daily Minor Footballer of the Year competition closed last night (Tuesday) as the 12 contenders were whittled down to the final four.
Salthill/Knocknacarra’s Cathal Sweeney topped the poll with 72%, followed by Eoghan Tinney (55%), Conor Raftery (49%) and Sean Black (44%).
The winner from each group advanced to the final which takes place today (Wednesday).
Some of those unfortunate to be eliminated included Aidan Halloran, Paul Kelly, Matthew Cooley and Tony Gill.
On Thursday, we will declare the 2018 Galway Daily Minor Footballer of the Year.
Any ties will be decided by our adjudication panel. All you need to do is log into (and like) our twitter page and like your favourite player in each section each day. It’s that simple. Each poll will last for 15 hours.
