Galway were denied back-to-back All-Ireland minor camogie titles on Saturday as Cork prevailed 0-18 to 1-11 to take a first title.
A Chloe Reilly goal on 13 minutes brought the Tribesgirls back into the contest but despite going 1-9 to 0-10 ahead early in the second half, they never managed to seize control and were chasing the game at the finish.
That being said, they never relented and manager Lorraine Larkin was proud of her players afterwards admitting “it was a tough one.”
She spoke to Galway Daily afterwards.
