The Galway v Offaly Allianz League football match meant to take place this afternoon has been cancelled due to the weather.
Galway and Offaly were due to play at Pearse Stadium in Round 3 of the Allianz Football League at 2pm this afternoon.
However, Galway GAA has said that due to the upgraded weather warning, the match has now been cancelled.
Met Eireann issued a more serious Status Orange weather warning for gale force winds in Galway today, as Storm Franklin is to hammer the west coast.
That will be in effect from 3pm this afternoon, but the county and all of Ireland is already under a status yellow wind warning today.
Galway GAA has said that a revised date for this fixture will be arranged in due course.
