The 2017/18 Connacht Rugby Awards Ball takes place at the Galmont Hotel & Spa in Galway on Sunday (6th May) and the 42 nominees for the various awards have been confirmed.
There are 16 awards ranging from under 18 through to referees, coaches, junior, club, academy and pro player level.
Jarrad Butler, Jack Carty and Thomas Farrell are in contention for the Connacht Fans Player of the Year. And Butler is on for a double as he’s up against Matt Healy and Tom McCartney for the Players’ Player of the Year prize.

Niyi Adeolokun, Carty and Ultan Dillane are in contention for the Try of the Year Award. While Alison Miller, Grainne Egan and Nichola Fryday will battle for the Women’s Player of the Year.
Two further awards that will be presented on the night include the Lifetime Contribution to Rugby Award, and the Connacht Rugby Unsung Hero Award.
