CALTRA & DISTRICT AC 

We at Caltra and District AC are holding our Annual 5k Road Race on Friday 17th August at 7.30pm with registration from 6pm at Caltra Community Centre.  This year we are delighted to be incorporating the Galway 5k championships in our race and hope to have teams from all clubs competing.

It is also a fun evening so you do not have to be a competing athlete as we will also be taking entries from joggers, walkers and even the juveniles.

Entry fees as follows: 

Running /completing €15

Juvenile walkers €10

With discounts to clubs and groups of over 10 in the group

PADRAIG PEARSES (Galway) GAA 

Pearses U13 hurlers defeated Ballinderreen on a score line of 2-11 to 1-2 in the U13B County Final played last weekend in Loughrea. Well done to all the lads and their management team of Eddie Mitchell, Martin Scarry, Sean O’Neill, Declan Lawless and Tony Walsh.

Pearses Junior footballers advanced to the knockout stages of the Championship, with a second win in the group. They defeated Glinsk on a score line of 2-16 to 2-12 in Ballymacward.

Condolences from Pádraig Pearses GAA Club to the Carr family and friends on the recent passing of Maureen Carr, Gurteen. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

The Club Lotto Jackpot is currently €14,200. This week’s draw was held in Nolan’s Castleblakeney. Winners in the ‘250 Club’ July Draw were: €100 Paul Ryan; €75 John Quinn; €50 Ciara & Sorcha Leonard.
