A young woman has lost her life, and two other men injured, in a car crash on the Headford to Tuam road which happened yesterday evening.
The single vehicle car crash happened at approximately 6:45pm on Sunday evening at Caherlistrane.
The young woman (26), a passenger in the vehicle, was killed when the car collided with a concrete post.
Two other men who were in the front seats of the car, the driver (32), and front passenger (28), were taken from the scene to University Hospital Galway.
Gardaà say their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The Headford to Tuam road remains closed at this time and Garda Forensic Collision investigators will conduct their examination today and local diversions are in place.
Gardaà are appealing to any road users who may have travelled the road and can assist them or drivers who may have dash cam footage to contact them.
