Work being carried out on the Spiddal wastewater treatment plant is causing disruptions to the local water supply today.
Irish Water have said that scheduled work taking place on the treatment plant will cause water outages in Spiddal and the surrounding areas until it is finished.
The work is currently expected to be complete by 3pm this afternoon.
Water network repairs are also taking place in Shantalla in Galway city today, as well as in Tuam.
Work in Tuam is expected to be completed by 6pm this evening, while repairs in the city will continue overnight until 6am on Tuesday morning.
Anyone who is without water as a result of these issues today should expect it to take 2-3 hours after work is completed for the full water supply to return.
