Frost and ice is widespread across Galway on this cold Monday morning and road users across the country have been reminded that care is advised on all routes.
Met Éireann has warned that the frost and ice will clear very slowly and will linger in some areas today which is set to be another dry, cold and sunny day.
Afternoon temperatures in Galway will be between 2 and 4 degrees Celsius, with moderate northeast breezes.
AA Roadwatch says that icy conditions have been reported in a number of areas this morning and has urged road users to be careful, to slow down and keep well back from others on the roads.
They have advised people to stick to main routes where possible as they are more likely to have been gritted.
