Several neighbourhoods on the north side of Galway City may experience water outages today due to a burst water mains.
Irish Water has reported a burst mains on the Tuam Road, which occurred shortly after 10am this morning.
Repairs to this may cause water outages to homes and businesses along the Tuam Road, in Glenburren Park, and surrounding areas of the city.
These repair works are currently expected to be completed by 5pm this evening.
People whose water supply has been affected by this are advised that it may take 2 – 3 hours after repairs are completed before their water full returns.
